What kind of spark plugs do you reccommend for my car with the folling mods: APR Stage2, Exhaust upgrade,FMIC, TIP, DV, PD160, K&N
Re: Spark Plugs
Hi Kenny,
Easy...
And cheap ...
NGK BKR7E (Race plug, one range colder)
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NGK-SPARK-PLUGS-B ... 240%3A1318
Gapped slightly tighter to .028
And i've run a set of these for more than 12 months without problem... bloody perfect... copper core rules...

Re: Spark Plugs
Not platinum... copper..... copper is good for performance but not so long lasting.... for the price though that doesnt matter...

Re: Spark Plugs
I read that you need these ones (one grade cooler) when you tune your car and the heat is going to increase but is this still the case when you get the FMIC on.
Re: Spark Plugs
I think the most important thing is to have good make plugs in good condition... then there isnt problems..
All too often plugs dont get changed or checked/gapped and then problems start...
Bout time I got some more for myself...

Re: Spark Plugs
having all the extra cooling going on it the car the temps should not be so much of an issue

Re: Spark Plugs
fit mine today must say im quite concered though as my old plugs were white/red indicating lean mixture! i was thinking could it be to the increase in air due to the intercooler? as i know the ecu can only adjust fueling to a certain degree??!! i am scared to boot it now till its checked out!!
Re: Spark Plugs
could be due to having such an agressive map, it needs the extra fuel to fullfil what its being asked to do
Re: Spark Plugs

Re: Spark Plugs
Sorry to bring it up again, but do you not think it makes any difference putting in a grade cooler spark plug even tho your temps are probably less than when the car was totally stock???
