Light Senitive Rear View Mirror

Hi there peeps, can anyone tell me where I can get one of the rear veiw mirror that automaticlly dims when driving at nite? I've seen them in some of the new polo 9N I think, just like to know if they fit the 6N and what the part no. is.

i think there in the passat too and iirc they have a +12v ign feed an earth and a swithched live from the side/headlights to do the dimming

I had one of these in my old Golf and boy do I miss it. I should have ordered one when I purchased my Polo but didn't, gutted.

I am looking into fitting one myself, if I do I'll let you know.

Part numbers won't be the problem really, but the price will be! New mirror from the dealer will cost you a small fortune. They are nearly always combined with the rainsensor, making the part quite expensive.

Interested though...

Best bet is getting one from a breakers or off eBay.

also if the vw one dosent alleal to every one but the stock one i can get you rear view mirrors with an inbuilt tv, unfortunatly the screen is only about 1.5" square approx and is intended for a camera but can also be used in conjuction with a dvd player or nav or vcr or playstation etciirc there about Â£400
