sticking buttons

Hi,
I want to post a question about my polo S 55 1.2 '55 reg in car entertainment. Some of the buttons on the radio/cd console stick. Has anyone else had had a simialer problem as not sure how to cure it. When push a few of buttons in they stay there rendering the console pretty much useless till eventually they come back out at which point can use the equipment again.
Would a spray of WD40 be any good or do more harm than good? Thanks http://www.uk-polos.net/post ... =post&f=17#
