GTI officially for sale. .

Post by _williams_ »

hi, due to certain financial issues i'm seriously thinking about getting rid of the car. its a 2006 '06 gti, its done 26k and it's immaculate. there's a few stone ships on the bonnet and a bit of curbing on one wheel, apart from that its spotless! i was just wondering how much i should be expecting for it. ideally i'd be needing as close to £9500 as possible . . . realistic or . . ? anyway here's some info . .

its a red '06 plate,
26k, full service (isnt actually due the next service for another 10k or a year but that's being done this month)
its due for its first mot on june the 16th so that's being done in the next couple of weeks,
its booked in with vw for a new boot handle to cure the common problem of paint chipping,
it's got a more-bhp stage one remap,
forge splitter valve,
other than that its standard!
it's had a new turbo at around 22k as there was a crack in the manifold,
also had the water pump changed so the cambelt was done while they were there (all work was done under warranty by VW)

here's a few pics:

so basically my question is . . .

i need to be getting around £9500 to be worth selling up, should i keep it for now or is this a realistic price to be asking?!

EDIT :: It's officially for sale, looking for offers as close to £9000 as possible! 8)

Just to give you an idea...I picked a GTi up for £9,500 just over a month ago from a main dealer, 16k on the clock, 56 plate registered 2007, 1 owner and came with a few little extras.

Hope that helps :)

i dont think thats bad for a 3 year depreciation, but if you bought brand new you were shafted as soon as you took the keys, best going ex demo or a car with up to 5000 on ! ive lost 3000 in 18months LOL
