Hi there,
Ive just got my 2006 polo nad am looking at upgrading all the door speakers and installing a sub.
Firstly how do i fit the tweeters into the pillars? I assume this means taking the pillar of, and would i use the standard wires already in there or replace it.
Secondly how do i change the lower door speakers, again would this need new wiring?
Thirdly, again how do i do the rear door speakers? The car is a 3dr.
Finally, i want to run an amp and a sub, but i think this might mean i have to get a new headunit, this is not a problem but if i do, i currently have a double din headunit, and this would leave a whole, thereofre is there someting to fill this whole, as i know some come with a compartment to put things in, are these availabl to buy?
Thanks in advance

For the pillars you pull off the trim, It kind of pulls towards the middle of the car.
Depending on the speakers you get it can wire directly to the headunit, or like the ones i upgraded too, which wired directly to the door components and then to the head unit.
Lower door speakers wouldn't need new wires, you would need to buy autoleads speaker adapters to attach them to the door, mine came with the wires needed. for them its just a case of drilling out the old rivets from your stock speakers and screwing the new adapters in place, and then the speakers.
The rear doors, depending on if you have them already will either be the same, or you will have to completely wire them up. but if your doing sub as well, this wouldn't be a major problem.
If you buy a single DiN head unit volkswagen sell a little tray that goes underneath, ask in your dealership and they will sell it you (for about £26!!!)
Hope this helps?

You would have to wire the head unit to the amp, then wire the speakers to the amp.
I think a lot of people tend to run the front speakers from head unit (usually enough power from it)
and then rear speakers/sub/6x9's maybe from amp?
depends how much effort and money you have
