Wheel Bolt Problem

Post by NFS »

Got my Porsche Designs 90z back yesterday from rainbow polishing (thanks to haris) and the luk awesome :D . So decided to put them on today...managed to fit on all wheels except for the drivers side. The problem was that the bolts were toooooooooooo tight...so after and hour of jumping on the wheel bolt tool i managed to undo 3...however there is still one stuck on there and the bolt has now been rounded off so the spanner keeps slipping. Ne1 know any tricks on how i can fix this or do i have to take it to a garage??

Cheers

assuming the nut is still in tact u can try gettign a socket and hammerimg it on the nut so its wedged on there. i did this when my locking nut broke. got one of those sockets that have loads of teeth and hammered it on then used the ratchet to get it of. cant get the socket of the nut tho but at least i got it of. assumign ur using the same size nuts (17mm) i believe its a 19mm socket i used.

First of all, spray some WD40 on it.

you then need as much leverage as you can get, so a Brake Bar would be ideal.

If you haven't got one, find anything that'll make your socket tool as long as possible, and try again.
