Re: decatt..
I have got one, simply remove the probe, put it in some sort of pocket and tuck it somewhere out the road. There is a plastic flap that you can squeeze it into. job done, no ecu faults etc!

Re: decatt..
i had a decat on the gti and did sound mental dont pop all the time though, yup vw has lamda probe sensors in the original cat section you can have the same fittings welded into your decat part so your sensors are still there but you will get engine emmisions light up
when i had mine done i had stage 2 remap and got j from more bhp to map the lamda probes out so no warning lights
few people now got decats now so someone else will have some info also

Re: decatt..
i have a decat and have done for a year, just put your second sensor in a metal sleeve and tie it out of the way, doesnt pop alot as the turbo is small but does now and again when changing gear! Defo sounds better without the cat!
Re: decatt..
Can you get one with standard exhaust? if soo where ?

Re: decatt..
No further mapping would be required. If i were you i would get the downpipe done at the same time and just sit the sensor out the road same as me and chris and you'll be problem free
Mines pops all the time
and flames when booting it!
Re: decatt..

Re: decatt..
More free flowing, which is what you want on a turbo'd car.
Downside is MOT time getting it put in and out and the risk getting stopped by the police and getting your exhaust emissions checked!
