Reverse Light goes out when reversing

Basically whenever i'm reversing the reverse light will come on (clutch pressed to the ground), then whenever I lift the clutch and start moving it will go out. The light then comes back on once I stop moving and the clutch is again pressed to the ground. Any ideas?

i have the same problem on my 02 9n for the last 2 months, cant figure out whats gone wrong. hopefully someone on here knows..

maybe the switch is faulty cant see it being anything else tbh as its in the gbox
