is it pretty much a strait swap to but a gti boot lid on a 6n?

Straight swap, but the bottom doesn't line up correctly as the bit under the lights doesn't match the shape of the bootlid. You can fix this but getting a bodyshop to weld that extra metal to the body will be difficult :)

But, it has been done :)

it is more or less straight swap, obviously you need to swap the locks etc. the boot sticks out slightly so when it comes to fitting it, make sure you push the top part of the boot as far in as possible with force e.g 2-3 peoples strength then screw it in. the central locking is very tricky i havent done mine yet but i dont have time.
