a few things im wondering about

Post by l0rne »

im nearly getting ready to get my boot sprayed, one concern, because its smoothed out i dont know if it will look right when done so would getting a mk5 tailgate be generally better?
but are the hinges and parts in the right areas?

also i dont really know much about suspension but i want to lower my car, im going to be incredibly skint for few months in debt over 1k so if i get lowering springs fitted will they be fine for a few months maybe longer? because i dont know

also i want my interior to loook different but can i spray the upholstery on the doors or do i need to glue material on ??

i have a 1.6 4v, yes its a 4v, is their any parts from gti or anything so i can get more power out of it?

any help on these would be great because people who i have spoke to dont really know much

Check this thread: http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/lofiver ... 32062.html, it shows the progress of somebody converting a 6N to a 6N2. The thread also contains some pics from another 6N with a 6N2 tailgate that has been smoothened. That owner recommends some welding to make it fit flush...

You probably have an 8v BTW.

Yeh the 6N2 tailgate doesn't fit straight onto the 6N, needs a fair bit of work.

If your tight on money I wouldn't bother buying springs just to last you a few months. Save the money and put it towards something you really want.

I wouldn't recommend spraying interior fabric, it's likely to come out all patchy. I'd look out for better 6N doorcards which bolt straight on, or like you said, different fabric that can be trimmed over the top.
