Great! CV joint just went!

Post by the_mini_mole »

I was out driving this afternoon and noticed a slight knocking that was steadily getting worse, so I limped home at about 30/40, but it finally let go on the High Street of the town I live in. I heard a loud clunk then all the ball bearings dropping out so had to stop :( Now i need to get it recoverd and fixed, AND get insured on my Mini so I have a car!
So, does anyone know where to get a CV joint kit that isn't going to cost me a million quid?
Thanks
James

ebay :) bargain prices on there but it MUST be one for a gti, as they are different as the gearboxes have differential lock.

Get the CV boot kit from Dealers, i'm guessing you'll need this also?
