juddering
juddering
i dunno if its just me but recently im sure i have to push the accelerator down a bit more then normal to get the revs up.
n e one else have or had a problem like this? dunno if its just me or not tho.
also the engine sometimes kinda skips a beat. had the problem quite bad a while ago so put new spark leads in and spark plugs. the plugs are i think ngk platinum or something like that. they cost over £30 for the 4. the juddering has got a lot better now ive changed them. was meaning to change them for ages anyway.
now theyre all changed i still get a judder overy now and then. not as much as use to.
n e ideas?

Re: juddering
no but i was thinking about that. do u know how and how easy it is to do? do u have to take it of the car to do it?
Re: juddering
"To clean it without removal:
Purchase some carb cleaner from halfords.
Remove your air box
Spray some cleaner on a rag and wipe the throttle body until visably clean.
Get some to start the engine up and rev it up to around 4-5k, pulsing the pedal. As the butterfly flap opens spray the carb cleaner continuously into the TB. Use around a quarter to third of the can.
Keeping the car running, take it for a good spin after to burn off excess cleaner."

Re: juddering
this inspired me to replace all the air pipes and breathing tubes in my car as mine judders started at quarter to 8 and finished bout 5 mins ago... took longer than expected but least its done now... gonna take it out for a drive see if that made a diff... and hopefully that should take my engine light off too !

Re: juddering
check your breathing tubes mate if there clogged up with an off white gunk then clean them throughly that may help...
Re: juddering
i could have a look at that then on saturday aka tomorrow as im not working. wanna have a look at my exhaust so might see about doing it at the same time.
prob print the cleaning steps of tomorrow or something.
how long roughly should it be driven to burn of the excess cleaner? is it a big or small bottle cause 1/4 to 1/3 seems alot of cleaner.
failing that how easy would it be to remove it from the engine and clean it?

Re: juddering
as for the botteles i havent a clue lol but i took all my pipes off earlier and replaced them all and it took around an hour but only cause i used smaller pipes than originally came so fitting them wasnt too easy, cleaning them is easy and quick but make sure there dry and free of any chemicals you use before putting them back on
