Some advice if possible

Post by dswarm »

Hi all,

Im looking for some advice / recommendation if possible..

Not really upto date with headunits and there are so many out there i cant really tell them apart.

Looking for a cd/mp3/usb head unit. Pref alpine. Looking at about £120, i would presume i would need a connector and face plate? (9n)

Any help would be great!

many thanks matt

Hi,

I would definitely recommend Alpine or Pioneer Headunit from past experience. You can’t go wrong if you stick to them two brands. Just a case of finding one with the features that meet your needs.

You don’t need a connector or a face plate for the 9n. It slides straight in. If you got a CD/Multi-Changer then you’ll need a Cubby Box to go it its place which is around £15 from the dealer.

Hope this helps you.
Trim.

Hi

I want to fit an aftermarket headunit to my 2000 polo gti in place of the standard gamma one...but cant find any facia adapters anywhere for that year only ones are for 2005 onwards. Im guessing I need that cubby hole thing to fit one too?

cheers
