Help Fitting MK4 Golf Leather Recaros in MK4 Polo With Pics

Post by andy___b »

Hi i recently brought a 97 polo 6n with mk4 golf leather recaros seats fitted, only to find out abit later the back seats wernt fitted proply
its only the back of the back seats that dont lock in place because im guessing the catches from the original seats dont line up with the golf ones so the catches have been removed, but this now meen the seats fly forward under heavy breaking
how can i secure them????
thanks

erm, well i was gonna say it look different from the front, ie the audi lights, looks nice :)
and with everything thts done, including the low mileage, open air edition and it being a 1.6 aswell mayber around £2500 to £3k
thts just my guess
as ive seen a standard 1.4 valver all smoothed and lowered go for 2k but yours has a more unique edge to it, im liking it :)
whereabouts you from?

i would post on a couple forums, maybe piston heads, gumtree and autorader....
mainly free ones :P lol
i can see this getting snapped up quickly if its priced right, and whos happening to be looking at the time.
if i had some money i would seriously consider it but ive just bought a 16valver my self for cheap fixing it up so cant afford another car, but hey good luck with tht
and surely if its just the comfort issue, change the ride hieght and put bigger profile tyres on it to help the bounce :)
especially when there been so much work done to it to perfect it

to fix your seats, take them out and remove the backs off them. Then get a 6N bench and remove the rear off that. Then just swap them over.
