Borbet Type A on 6n

Post by jamegumb »

I have a 1998 1.6 8v and found some wheels i really like on ebay they are Borbet type A 7,5x16 which according to your guide should fit OK as long as I get the right size tyres ( 195,40,16 ) my car has bilstein shocks and has been lowered but within legal limits. Does anyone have any experience with these wheels on a 6n? The guy whose selling them said I would have to do some arch work to get them to fit, but he recomended 195,45,16 tyres which are slightly too high profile according to the mk4 guide. Anyone Help? Thanks J

If you want a nice stance with them, you'd be looking at getting your arches rolled. They'll fit on without too much issues on standard height with 195/40s, but as soon as you start to lower it you may encounter problems.
