Will my new wheels fit?
I'm just about to get some 15 inch 7.5J wheels with an offset of 35mm.
I've also just had my car lowered 50mm. It's definitely this amount - you can *just* get hands between tyre and arch.
The wheels will have 195 x 50 x R15 rubber on them - at the mo I am running 6J with a 43mm offset. They look close already - I'm worried the new wheels will be too wide.
What do other people run? 7.5J seems quite wide... it'll be 0.75 inches + 8mm further out = 26mm..... Darn close. Will I need to roll arches?
Any advice appreciated, I have deposit on the wheels so not much going back!
Cheers

Dave, I'd have to agree with Aaron here. The 45 series will prevent problems, whereas the 50's will cause them. The 7,5 J width won't be the problem, nor will the ET value. In fact, since the wheel is somewhat wider, the tyre will be a bit lower than it would if it was a narrow wheel. It's marginal, but still. If you still run into problems, some rolling could solve the problems. Depends on damper hardness as well, btw.
If you can stretch it, get the 45's...

I'll see what the fella at styledynamix says - he's fitted 50's to 2 that have arrived but I'm sure he could change em.
Why will the width and offset of the wheel not cause a problem - won't the offset push the tyre out further towards the arch - is it nothing to worry about yet?
I think too much...
I'd rather stick with 50's - the ride will be better, it'll be 3% higher geared and they cost less to replace (pikey). but if there's no option (or if he says he refuses to change tyres once they're on the car) I may just have to go for 45's then.
I think the 50's should be about 8mm closer to the arch... so I guess it's like lowering it by 58mm?
