door seals

hi all been finding alot of water in my passenger footwell had the carpet up doesnt seem to be wet by the centre consol or the piller by the dash. put carpet back again and dryed it out a lil went out again 2day in the rain and it looks like its coming under the door over the door seal how do i stop this happening any1 else had this prob??

thanks iv read that post not all that useful really what i would like to no is is it as simple as changing the door seal or is it more complicated than that??

Well like the others did, I would first check the scuttle, if that is filled with water then that is most likely to be the problem, if it's not that then I think you have something more serious on your hands, if your not an expert probably best to get it looked at..

ye iv done this and iv also replaced the doorcard membrane think i might just bight the bullet and get a new seal see wat that does hopefully that wil stop the water traveling up and over it

Well once you checked it and replaced the door car, was there still water coming in? If so you probably will need a new door seal!
