I took the polo off and the paint is offy
Anything you guys can recomend to restore it?
T-cut just isnt working!

Auto Glym Super Resin Polish Is pretty good mate, i wouldnt put T-Cut anywhere near my cars paintwork, afterall you do wanna keep your paint on your car? oh and is your car metallic or a solid colour because if your using T-Cut on a metallic car then your going to ruin yours!

or it could of been painted before like mine nd been stuck on wet paint..... which resulted in mine now havin a s**t polo mark on the boot lid

Obviously debadging day today. Took mine off as well, hairdryer and fingers. Extreme sore fingers now (hot and getting my nails under the badge ...).

Used nail polish remover to get the sticky stuff off and the machine polisher to do the rest. Perfect result, very happy with it.

Machine polisher is definitely the best method.

go on detailing world forums and see if anyones local who can just whisk over it for a few quid.

Derby is indeed a bit far ...

I have a Porter Cable which is excellent for the job, but detailing is an expensive world ...

im tempting todo this but i cba to get it touched up or anything if it goes terribly wrong soo whats the best way to do it? wire and hair dryer? or this DW40/GT45 way anygood? if so how do you do it?

Yeh no problem mate.

Ian it's dead simple, hairdryer to warm the foam and get some thin wire (guitar string or fishing wire) and just cut the foam so the badge comes off. WD40 works ok yeh, there's a few abrasive polishes that do the trick too. Autoglym bug and tar remover ain't bad either.

I just used the hairdryer and my fingers. You have to heat the badges quite hot (i.e. so you can hardly touch them), then you can just pull them off with your fingers.

If possible, don't use anything in between (string or not) as anything touching paint has the risk of damage. Patience and heat is all that is needed (and strong fingers ...).

what colour is it ? i detail so could have a look if you wished, prob be best to let the weather pic up first though.
