Boot light

driving the other day, i noticed my boot light coming on, on the dash board, everytime i hit a large bump and the car bounced, is it ok u reckon?, i checked the boot when i got home and it was locked
maybe it just needs some Wd40, but it was the flickering of the symbol on the dash that had me thinking it was sumthing abit more serious

check that the rear washer jet hose hasnt poped off and is messing things up. it seems to be a common problem on the MK5

had same prob once flickerd then eventually came on perm. the rear washer had come off due to it expanding and i tried to use the rear washer causing the pipe to splirt all in the boot door. if you remove the rear plastic tht runs along the boot door, you can see if the pipe is split or has just come off. if its wet in there just dry things out with a hair dryer or whatever. nothing to worry about tho dude!
