Epc light

My epc light has come on and I don't know why. I wondered if any one near Braintree Essex could do a vag com check on my car.

i think its something to do with emissions, or somthing like that

when i changed my key the the vw flip key my transponder came loose and when it was at the bottom of my key that made my epc light come on but when i glued it in place where it should be, it went back off and never came back on.

Is there anything noticably wrong with the car??? Have you checked to see if your brake lights work?

The most common reason for the EPC light to come on, is the brake light switch.

Yep, I've checked that but all was fine.

How ever the light have turned it's self off?

It kay be the brAkes as when I drive it for the first time of the day, they make a slight grinding sound for the first few brakes. So I'm thinking it's the pads. If I was to get the front pads and rear drum pads changed, what's a good option other then standArd that the garage give you ?

Yep, it was the switch. Got one from the local motor parts direct

It's your brake light switch that's knackered.. Your brake light most probably do not come on when braking so be cautious.

Can be picked up cheaply from ebay and installed easily
