Gti gearbox

Hi guys,

I've had my gti for 2 weeks now and have noticed the gearbox whines slighhtly in first, kind of like revesre. It doesn't get louder and only does it in first. A bloke in work says his golf does it aswell and always has done. Does anyones else?
