Any reason you want to upgrade to such a high capacity - thats some serious amperage mate! Most sound systems would have no problem on a 90...whats the rating of the fuse in your amp? The 120amp alternator is for the TDI engine, and I think it may well have a different mount to the block.

It shouldnt damage anything, but things can start to go funny. I had a 65 in mine the other day, and it wasnt working right and I had to revert to a 55.

Basically my battery used to cut out a lot with my power cap on. Ive removed it and my car has been fine ever since. SO was thinking if i was to connect my subs back on then the battery might drain out. Plus i was checking out sparky's audio guide Excel spreadsheet, i put in my watts in rms, and the amps of my alternator and it says its too low.

I think i should put the subs in, and see how it goes

Possibly consider a second battery for the subs located in the boot. I know on alot of high powered systems thats what they do!
