smoking steering wheel...

earlier when i was driving about i just looked at my speedo and jus around the area where the indicator gap is , not sure exactly where but , somehow a little bit of smoke appeared, i smelt a burning smell but that went after a minute, anybody have any ideas what it could be ? or if its very danerous to drive :|

Sounds like either the airbag wiring or the indicator/wiper stalk has burned out. Check if wipers and indicators work

i have experienced this.

it somethmes happens when i clean my interior. i think dust is getting on the airbag connectors and burning when you switch the ignition on.

Yeah, was happening to me also, and soon my wiper stalk went bye-bye

You need to take the steering wheel off, remove the stalks and give the copper contacts a good spray with contact cleaner. Problem solved ;)

No, I really mean my wiper stalk went. It somehow created contact between two positions and it melted and fused together so I had to replace it. I couldnt switch my wipers off, I had to take the fuse out :shock:
