1.4 SE HELP !

Hi everyone this is my first visit to the forums well impressed !,I have just recently bought a 1.4 SE, petrol,manual box 3 door polo.The car is a bit rough so ive had it professionally valeted inside and out big improvement !.The front grills in the bumper need to be replaced so Ive bought them from volks-apart awaiting delivery london to aberdeen should be monday or tuesday I do hope it's the right parts big bumper version they said I don't really know so here's hoping.2 really annoying things about the car 1,puddle in the passenger side behind the front seat,looks like a leak at the corner of the windscreen only it's at the drivers side !.2 the door locks are all messed up drivers door only locks from the inside and won't open from outside with the key back tailgate won't lock either is this common ? and what are the suggestions to remedy the faults cheaply of course ! canny scotsman .I look forward to your suggestions to any of the above.I wish i could post picture but unable to at the moment

Hi Oggy, and welcome;

About the indoor swimming pool, check the door rubbers as well. These have been reported to leak. I'd expect a puddle more up front if it was the windscreen.

Can't really help you on the locks unfortunately...
