1.0 mpi MAF sensor
1.0 mpi MAF sensor
where exactly can I find it? is it placed inside the intake manifold on the left?? I need to get it out to give it a clean as part of the ongoing engine parts cleansing hehe
Re: 1.0 mpi MAF sensor
they dont have a maf, they have a map.
Re: 1.0 mpi MAF sensor
ahh wow didn't know that tks mate ... dose it still need a clean or not?
Re: 1.0 mpi MAF sensor
you cant clean a map mate, its a programm programed into the ecu.
Re: 1.0 mpi MAF sensor
I have just found on the internet that you can still give it (the actual sensor) a clean once in a while to remove the dirt that might accumulate on it...
Re: 1.0 mpi MAF sensor
what is this? and what would cleaning the sensor doo?
Re: 1.0 mpi MAF sensor
A MAP sensor is a pressure sensor inside the intake manifold that measures the amount of air inside the manifold therefore controls the amount of fuel.
I thought about cleaning it so to give better readings an therefore better response maybe hehe

Re: 1.0 mpi MAF sensor
OK MAP sensor cleaned ... pheww what a relief, it was insane to remove it!! now just for the sake of asking is the lambda sensor something you can give a clean (you know it's in the exhaust so it will surely be dirty) or it's just remove and replace?
Re: 1.0 mpi MAF sensor
yeh you can give the lambda sensor a clean but be carefull. dont touch the cermaic end, i cant remember what you can use, thinks its petrol but dont hold me to that
Re: 1.0 mpi MAF sensor
would the common electronics contact cleaner work for it? or the vapour that it initially forms could damage it?Bepe wrote:yeh you can give the lambda sensor a clean but be carefull. dont touch the cermaic end, i cant remember what you can use, thinks its petrol but dont hold me to that
