Lads,
1st time driving a diesel, and it does not have a temperature gauge
anyone know why ?
Also 1st service is due at 15000 km / 9300 miles
the dealer said i would have a choice of service intervals in the future
so can anyone here advise me on going for service intervals at 15000 or sooner ?
And finally the AC / air conditioning system
How often should it be used ? thx in advance.

1.6 TDI has no temperature gauge....
Re: 1.6 TDI has no temperature gauge....
None of the new Polos have a temperature gauge - diesel or petrol. An odd omission in a car with on-board computer. However, in my experience with 2 Golfs the temp guage never moved off 'normal'. I only used it to know when to put the heater on.
The diesel service intervals are shorter than the petrol engines. I think it's due to the filters.
If you don't have 'automatic climate' which switches the a/c on at every opportunity, AFAIK a/c should be run a couple of times a month throughout the year...
