Heavy clutch. Any ideas?
yeah, basically my clutch is really heavy and overall not healthy. What could be the problem? And how much to fix?

Try adjusting the cable
If thats no good, its time for a new clutch as its either worn plates, or the release bearing is shagged.
In any case, the effort needed to do a release bearing, you might as well just change the whole clutch!

Re: Heavy clutch. Any ideas?
I almost pushed my clutch pedal through the floor the first time after I replaced the clutch.
The difference!
Re: Heavy clutch. Any ideas?
I suppose that means mine needs replacing to!?
Im happy with mine as i like it to be harder.
But i suppose that means something is wrong?
Its has a fair bit of pressure to push all the way down, and about half way down it squeaks and creeks.?? Although it passed its MOT a month back?
Sorry to hi jack!

We had this with the 6N2 when I bought it a few months back.. changed the cable first, didn't help..
It basically needed a new clutch - the pressure plate was buggered.

Ive always been told that if it still works, theres no point in changing it?
