Well here's the original fault code:
Control Module Part Number: 6X0 907 379 C
Component and/or Version: ABS/EDS 30 IE CAN V004
Software Coding: 15603
Work Shop Code: WSC 00788
1 Fault Found:
01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64)
16-00 - Signal Outside Specifications
This all began when i stupidly washed the engine bay. It was intermitant for 3 or so months and then is now on permanently.
I have tried the following:
1) Clean all connections ontop of battery
2) Replace all fuses on top of battery
3) Replace ABS dashboard fuse
4) Volt tested connections ontop of battery
5) removed both abs connectors on the ecu and pump, cleaned and re-connected
6)wd-40'd here and everywhere
7) inspected wiring for splits
inspected wheel hub sensors
9) Checked brake fluid level
and finally
10) Replaced the ECU with the one from my old gti!
Has anyone got a diagram of the ABS Loom or had any idea which wires account for different functions- both on the battery top and in the connectors?
Could it be possible that the old ecu doesn't like the new pump?
My hair is starting to fall out with this problem now! and need it sorted asap as am looking to sell the car very very soon!
Any ideas is appreciated, i cannot think of anything more to try..... thanks
