changing rear hub

i have a 2000 w reg polo 1 litre. my rear drivers back wheel is sort of bent a little, could anyone tell me if that is adjustable at all, so i can make it straight again?? or if i need a new hub, is there a guide that anyone knows that i can follow? i had a quick look under the car to see how to take off the whole of the rear right leg (the whole piece hold the wheel) and i see a axle beam connected from the left wheel to the right, would i have to take off the left and the right hub along with that axle beam pole to change to a new one?
