HELP NEEDED! Camshaft sensor... Fixed!

Post by KPerryGTi »

Hey guys, I've been having problems for a while now with my car stuttering and sometimes cutting out... only way to explain it is it's as if the car sneezes... anyway... I'm at college doing an automotive course so I took it in to have a look ran diagnostics on it and found out (i think) that it is the camshaft sensor which is apparently affecting my variable cam timing so the injectors don't know when to inject fuel into the piston... which sounds about rite because that's what it feels like and i first thought it was an injection problem... i have the fault code P0341...

Any suggestions how to fix it? new sensor??

Any help will be welcomed... Cheers

16725/P0341/000833 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40): Implausible Signal

Replace the sensor - they fail all the time. They cost about £25 from the dealer - make sure you get a genuine one

The camshaft sensor doesn't effect the variable cam timing as such - it merely tells the car that the camshaft is rotating in time with the crankshaft.

New sensor and it will be happy days!
