rocker cover

Post by l0rne »

i want my rocker cover polished up ( i know i need a RC gasket) but ive attempted to do it and i havent really changed much!

how do i get it "like new"?????
ive cleaned most of the engine now

AND...the manifold cover....is that needed? or is it their to help the engine? im not sure about it to be honest

its not a problem if it needs to be there or helps the engine i can just get it cleaned up and shiney

only because i might be going to get a new stainless steel manifold to make it look even nicer! but no point if the engine works better with the cover!

any help will be great!! soon as because payday is just few sleeps away haha :)

So are you asking how to polish it? Wet and dry, starting from maybe 240 right done to as fine as you can get really. Then some metal polish, Im using autosol to do my wheels.
Just started doing this to my brothers 6n, an orbital sander or similar helps, I wouldnt use anything more agressive, it'll f*** it up like my brother did to hit
