Interior bulb dead - user replaceable?

Post by dash »

Hi again,

The interior light appears to have died in my car (the one in front of the sunroof). I'm assuming its just a fused bulb but how easy is it to replace myself? Instructions and part numbers for the replacement would be gratefully appreciated ;)

Thanks, Maj

It *should* be described in the user manual. If it's not, I believe the unit can be removed from the roof liner by carefully prying in a flat headed screwdriver, popping the light from it's retainer frame. After that the light should be easily replacable.

HTH!

you can buy blue painted ones from a local car place, usuall where they sell exhaust trims, sunstrips, led washer jets, etc etc

i got one some from some place like that....was only a couple quid.

or you can buy blue LED ones off ebay.....

the whole light bit comes out easily....

Am I removing the light bit from the plastic surround, or the light + plastic surround from the roof lining? The manual isn't too clear :S
