Just a quicky question about removing the bumper! i've got most of the screws off round the bumper off, but just stuck on the last four that is right down behind the radiator!
where abouts mate? There are 4 screws above the grill clips, 5 screws in each arch (one up inside the hole in the arch liner and 4 down the arch), 1 behind each indicator and 1 behind each fog grille.
Do you mean right at the bottom, so you can take the bumper off but its attached by a flexi bit of plastic? i think they are 4 clips, pretty sure they arent screws.
Oh those. They are great fun. If you are only removing the bumper temporarily you can just allow the bumper to sit on those clips in place.
If however you need to take the bumper off completely, you need to get something like a pair of wire cutters and use them carefully to lever the center pin out of the clip from underneath the bumper. Once you have pulled the center pin out, the rest of the clip will just pop out

spot on RS_GT, i can't seem to get that bit off!!!
Dunno if wire cutters will do, would pliers do the job?
Pliers will do. The reason i suggested wire cutters is they have profiled tips which will be easier to use to wiggle the center pins out due to their design its like 'iTi' where T is the bit you want to pull out therefore using a tool you can easily lever underneath the edges will be easier.
Alernatively, if you can access the pins from above, just push a small flat head screwdriver onto the centre pin and pop it out from behind.
lol iv always left the bumper hanging on that part. if its to change the splitter you dont have to fully remove the bumper. if you pull the bumper forward, you can reach the clips of the splitter

thanks Rs for that idea! i'll give that ago but if all fails, i'll strip it down!
You dont actually have to take the bumper off at all to get the splitter off and swapped. Its quite easy to just jack the car up and work from underneath with a big screwdriver to ease the clips up so you can remove it.
