Hi, new to this forum
i am wanting to buy a 2000 polo 1.0
how hard is the conversion to a 1.6 gti engine?
any pics or threads

Its not worth it to be honest mate, lots of parts needed and it would literally work out cheaper to buy a GTI.
You can get a GTI for £1500 now

Remember it isnt just the engine you need, think about breaks, suspension, exhaust, gearbox etc etc
Lot of money, time and effort.

And then there is the issue with insurance - insuring a 1.0 modified with a GTi engine will often cost more than insuring a GTi

if your wanting to put in a bigger engine you mite aswell put in a 20v turbo lump in
