just got mine back from the garage last night. They actually replaced the rpm sensor (apparently sometimes called the crankshaft sensor) which is a cable connecting the engine and throttle body (I THINK thats what the guy said. Part and labour + VAT was £132). Anyway, the car sounds better than it did and as I've only driven it to work once since, I'm hoping that thats the problemn solved. I'm still going to get some Wynn's Petrol Plus and Injection Plus for it though just to make sure.
the fault means that the butterfly in the throttle body has been clogged up and the butterfly hasnt been able to sit in its idle position properly thus bringing up the fault,simple clean and recode should sort it out.
