Post by shawnged »

Hello folks i have recently bought myself a 9n3 gti and i am wanting to modify the exterior a bit more so concentrating on mudguards but seemingly vw dont make for this model because of the side skirts is there any other manufactures that make for this model or is it a D.I.Y job any help or links would be very much appreciated.

The back ones fit. It's just the front ones that don't, due to the GTi side skirts. I don't know how easy it would be to modify them to fit, but you'll probably need to cut them to fit.

Just go to your dealers and ask for a set of rear mudflaps for your year car and you should be fine. Alternatively, here's where I got mine from, because I'm lazy lol Shop4Volkswagen. You want the 2002-2009 rear ones.
Really easy job to fit as well, three screws that are already in the wheelarch and then another two self tappers and job's done.

I personally don't really like the front ones on the Polo, but the car doesn't look out of place with just the back ones on, which is what I have. They are quite subtle to be honest, but really finish the back of the car well.

Here's a pic of the rears only on my 1.4. It's not my GTi but you get the idea anyhow...
