2011 Polo 6R 1.2 S
Hello people. My name is Graeme and I am new to this forum. I am a keen VW follower and this is my 2nd Polo.
This will be my 4th car, all of which have been of the VAG marque: Here is my car history and pictures of my 6R transformation. Please feel free to advise or critisize. Any feedback will be appreciated.
First car VW Lupo

The is my new car.
For suspension I fitted coilovers - Weitic Hicon GT
For wheels I fitted - Compomotive TH Mono 15x8
Tyre's are stretched Kumhos - 195/45/15
Tin plates were fitted and the vehicle is always cleaned with Autosmart products.
The coils

The v8

The insufficient clearance between the top nut and the skuttle panel cover meant I couldn't get my air gun in, so I had to remove the panel and my wipers

It's always handier working at the car when it's on 4 stands.
Macphearson suspension at the front and independant at the rear.
This is the spline socket required to take the bottom bolt out.
It's hammer time.
This is as far as the hub will come down on the drivers side of the car due to the driveshaft being stopped by the bottom arm. You could work your way around this by disconnecting the trackrod end, balljoint and driveshaft nut and removing the hub or just do what I like to do and compress the spring inside the shock and pry the hub down and get someone to hammer or lift the strut out of it's housing.
The back is always easy.
The ajusters must be placed in the nearest bin.
After everything was fitted, I gave the calipers, drums and discs a quick spray. Followed by de-mudflapping.
Just to clean and take a few snaps.

Big pimpin! Stunner
Re: 2011 Polo 6R 1.2 S
Cheers people.
Dead chuffed with the car, the coilovers and wheels are nothing compared to the VW styling.
They make a great car.
P.s I'm a bit embarrassed it isn't a GTi seeing as everyone elses is on here.

Don't worry not every one has GTI's, the important thing is its a Polo No GTI snobbery on here mate.LUPERSTAR wrote: P.s I'm a bit embarrassed it isn't a GTi seeing as everyone elses is on here.

Haha. I'm glad of that.
My first assessment of this forum is that all you guys really do look after your cars, everything is mint on here.

That is a full beast mate! Can't believe how much difference a relatively simple mod can make to the styling. The most recent facelift of the polo is badass but yours looks double mean now! Awesome work!
Is that your own garage in the pics or what? You're pretty well set-up in there!
