Boost gauge - which wire to use for power?

Post by Gillen »

Which wire do you use to connect the wire coming from the boost gauge to? I've seen some people use the power wire going to the headlight switch as this allows the gauge lighting to adjust when using the dimmer on the light switch unit...but I don't know which wire!

Thanks

Wired mine to the light switch so when u turn ur lights on it goes on. Use a multi meter to get the wire needed.

If using the live for the headlight switch I'm assuming the power will only come on when the switch is turned...not a constant so i'll get a flat battery?

To answer that...yes the gauge is constantly illuminated if using the live for the headlight switch.

Not sure which one to use!
