Wiring diagram

Post by Tilo »

Hey there guys,

I'm not really an owner but i do need your help.
I'm fitting a speedo and a fuel pump/sender from a Polo MK5 just like the one in the picture. I also have the ECU. What I need now is the wiring diagram to know which wire goes where... I believe the donor engine was a 1.4 petrol.
Is there any chance I can get those?

Thanks

I want to make it work... Lights, gauges, speed, km, fuel level, engine temp. All the basics.

These are CAN-BUS driven clocks. They are driven mainly by/via the ECU rather than directly from sensors etc.

So is this in a Polo or are you trying to make something work outside of the car?

It's a kit car. What i'm doing is to fit the instruments from the polo in the kit car.

Sorry to bother again...

Alex, I've managed to get the turn signals working with your diagram although the wires were swopped, meaning, the black/green wire is actually the right turn signal and the black/white wire is the left one.
This made me believe this isn't the right diagram because some other wires are missing or not working, such as the handbrake signal and illumination.
The donor car was actually a 2001 Polo 6KV Variant 1.4l 16v. Does anyone have the diagrams for that? Much appreciated...

Is there any kind of fuse inside the dash? If there's not, i might have blown it up!
I've managed to get the turn signals, odometer and clock power and high beam signal working but now nothing lights up.
