Cold starts n engine problems

My V plate (1999) 6n has this problem in the morning or cold starts can any1 help plz.

Engine starts and instantly cuts out on every cold start it takes two+ go's to get it started, unless you hold the accelorator pedal down slightly when starting and when its started the rev's are below 1000 untill the car has heated up???

vag com it matey, id say theres a temp sensor or throttle body problem

Thats definately the Temp Sensor - common failure on these

When you replace it, be sure to get a genuine one from a dealer and not a copy part from GSF/Euro etc as the quality is just shocking and half they time they dont work at all

one.

If its a 6n itll likely be a black 4 pin temp sensor with a square plug

Iv had the temp switch changed and I'm still having same problem so I'm going to have my throttle body taken off and see if that could be the problem.
