Polo GTi stage 2 VS Civic Type R EP3

Hi guys,
just to keep everything exciting, i'm planning to do a race against a Friend.
he has like the titlle says a Honda Civic EP3 Type R with 250Hp & 230Nm.
has done quite a few mods on the K20 engine and believe me when i say, it is a fast one!
exacly as fast as a E46 M3, rolling start from 2nd gear up to +-180Km/u, after that the M3 slowly gets away.

but, what do you guys recon my Polo GTI Stage 2 with +-240Hp and 350Nm would do against it?
i have a slight feeling about what is going to happen,
think from standing start the polo will be taking the lead and in 3the gear the Type R will come by.
and from rolling start, the polo will be a bit stronger and take the lead,
as in higher RPM i guess the Civic will be a bit faster and will pass me again.
but i'm just wandering what you guys think...
going to try standing start as well as rolling starts from all gears.
normally it will be filmed also, so tomorow or the day after i'll post the video.

just did some testing against the Type R,
it went better as expected.
from standing start, polo gets a half car to a carlenght ahead of the Civic, and it stays that way.

rolling start 2nd gear, exacly as fast as the polo, up to 220Km/u it is exacly the same.

rolling start 3th, 4the and 5th gear.
polo takes 2 carlengts and from then on, it stays the same again.
only from 5th gear the polo takes a massive lead because it has alot of torque more than the civic.

thats good going man alot of the hot hatches dont seem to stick with type r's once they have been k'prod (240bhp cooper s's get destroyed top end) will be good to see this video

today or tomorrow.

Civic is a K20 engine with alot of mods, verry good finetuned hondata also.
he had 250Hp on dyno and 230nM? GOES LIKE CRAZY!
much better as another Civic Type R from another friend, he had 240- 245Hp, but stays carlengts behind.
drove to him yesterday, will post the video's, those i have here with me.

never thought i could stay in front of him.
i knew i could beat him a bit from rolling start, because i have more torque, but i expected him to pass me again in higher RPM.

Polo stage 2 is a verry fast car!
low down torque enough and also alot of high end power, today, this was proven

ps: the results i have posted here was with 2 persons in the polo and only the driver in the civic.
we also tried with the cameraman in the civic and me alone in the polo, but then i drovbe away from him.
could not keep up.
not that my polo is that much faster, i hardly even notice an extra person in it.
but the civic does, not enough torque to keep pulling hard.
pretty big diffrence...
both alond in the cars was still the same result as polo with 2 persons and civic alone.
a proof that the polo does not "feel" the extra person

you can see how much torque can do,
the rolling start was done in 3the Gear for the polo, 2nd gear for the civic.
