Advice - TOP MOUNTS

Post by POLOZ »

My topmounts will be getting replaced next week and I am wanting some info on which ones to go for?

I have heard, you can get cupra ones but not sure.

I agree. My driver's side rear top mount split and were replaced with standard ones and they've been fine.

Im assuming your driving a 6n?? In which case the cupra ones will indeed fit as they share more or less the same chassis (with the exception of the ccupra subframe being wider to support the wider track width).

But yes the cupra ones will fit, me though as said abovem just stick to your standard ones. If you have the money go and get a genuine vw part as they are known to last longer than the counterparts that places like gmf, gsf etc sell but never the less keep to your standard top mount, just makes things easier!

No mate drive a 9n3 GTi hence why its been posted in MKVII section :P

Well I checked up and mk4 cupra and the 9n3 have the same top mounts and bearings :) so think will be sticking to the OEM ones.
