James' 6n2 - Jap'crap wheels, Rig Shots, BLAHH

Post by James. »

Right, this may make no sense at all because im copying it over from another forum but here goes.

Polo 6n2 1.0 litre
Pretty much standard apart from the wheels and headunit.
So me and Dad picked it up beginning of October 2010, whilst it looked like this,

Then as i was pretty skint considering im only 16, I just went around finding little bits and bobs that i didnt like and set a task of changing.
1st was the horrific aerial, got a stumpy one off ebay for a couple quid,

Image

After that i had to change the wheels. They werent in a very good state, especially the driver front. Corroded lip, and generally manky. So i picked up a set of standard steelies off another 6N2,

Image

Had them sprayed white as i wasnt keen on them being black,

Image

Got them fitted up,

Image

Looking like a 4x4 ;)

Now whilst i was waiting for my Coilovers to be delivered, i had a random moment and sprayed the front badge matt black,

Image

I liked it, so i stuck with it. And gave the engine bay a little clean aswell,

1.0 Power ;)

Then the coilies arrived, only cheap ones, but they do the job :)

Which made it look 10x better. Still needs a bit tweeking, Front needs dropping quite a bit more. Rears should be fine as im planning on dropping a big twin 12" sub into it very soon.

So this is how its looking at this very moment in time,

Like i said up there ^ Somewhere. I am still 16, 17 in february so the mods are very limited at the moment. And will probably be only little updates from now on, apart from the ICE install soonish. Got a few plans up my sleeve such as spacers all around, or maybe even some G60 steels as the 13's arn't as nice as i hoped

Thats all for now, any comments welcome :)

Cheers, James.

Alot happened between there^ and this point. Ended up with some BBS RX2's:

Image

The got rid of them for something a little bit wider,
Rota Aleica 15x8 et0 all round.

Image

Rocking 4x4 stance whilst i waited for my arches to get beaten by the hammer.

Then i took some man up pills and went on a sick one with a huge adjustable spanner, hammer, almost anything i could use to pull the arches as the arch roller wouldnt do it enough.
Heres the result,

Image
Image
Then went a little lower, and smashed the rear arches out some more (Ignore the dodgy filler  )

Chucked some more paint over the arches, seeing as i was having some rig shots done the same afternoon as it looked like that ^
Heres the outcome,

And had some statics done,

That is pretty much it, from november 2010 whilst i was still 16, right up til last week :)

Plans,
Smaller tyres at some point so i can get a bit lower
Leather interior
And hopefully a bigger engine once i've turned 18 :P

Cheers guys

I tried doing the black and blue combo but it didn't work as my rubstrips are all blue. But yours looks awesome as the rubstrips are all black. I kept my interior black though. Looks neat.

Somewhere along the line i plan on chucking a full black leather interior into her. Havnt really done much to the interior apart from upgraded all the speakers to Kenwood, Pioneer headunit & Vibe blackair 12" Sub. Dont know what i'd do without those 3 to be fair <3

Should have atleast 2 new tyres soon aswell. Gonna get some more stretch so i can bring the back down some more :D

195/50s
They came on the wheels and were all way to good to replace at the time, so i have just driven them.
Gonna go for 175's, just so they dont look lost inside my arches now i've modified them to get 195's under.

Will do mate

Spent the weekend up at Edition38. Been my first year there and absolutly loved it!
Didnt put the car into the show and shine or any of the catorgaries. Shes feeling a bit sorry for herself at the moment so didnt bother embarrasing myself :(

However seeing all of the stunning and "Perfect" cars there, its made me pull my finger out and get my paintwork upto scratch. Get the arches sprayed properly & get it sitting lower!

Anyways, one picture Prox got of me,

Image

Plan on ditching the FlyEye aswell, going to go for lamin-X instead :D
