Creaking noise when moving off
Creaking noise when moving off
Noticed an annoying creaking noise when moving off in 1st gear, seems to be coming from the front somewhere . Anyone experienced this?.
Re: Creaking noise when moving off
Most who have 6Rs are having this same issue plus many more. From what I can gather, if it's coming from behind the driver's side firewall its relative to the a/c pipes vibrating/rubbing on the body near the a/c compressor.
Have a gander through this.

Re: Creaking noise when moving off
Now I'm not convinced. When the car moves away theres a little clunk/rattle (it's a one off tiny dull thud) that comes from behine the drivers side firewall. It bugged me at first until I played about. It happens at 10mph on the nose, either pulling away smartly of creeping or even rolling. I'm now 90% conviced it's the ABS, EBD, ESP doing it's thing with the braking system.
