are you sure you're not thinking of mk3s? (1990 (H) to 1994 (M)).

mk3 squarebacks are harder to find than mk3 coupes, still not exactly difficult.

mk2 squarebacks are MUCH more common than mk2 coupes. theres tons of em about.

mk2 = 1983 (A) (I think) to 1990 (H).

I thought that the mk3 squares were pretty common too next to the coupes (probably far cheaper at the dealers :D)... Still don't see too many of them about. Mebbe you need to pay the Karls' areas a visit, Vee :)

((In the meantime my local area has once again been invaded by a flock of navy blue mk3 squares like mine, same time as last year (there was bugger all a month ago). The summer brings them out, quite inexplicable. I think there's someone locally who keeps them garaged over winter then rents them out to impoverished bakers as solar ovens..))

Im confused. It looks like the guy was looking for a model or a "toy" mk2 squareback polo. Could have been better worded tho. Btw, the mk3 squareback and coupe was priced equally model for model.

I think the company that made the one Pettsy bought not so long ago also did a sqareback model of the mark3, not sure whether there are many 2's though.

Karl.
