Engine Conversion

Hi there. Was wondering if anyone would know if the 6n2 1.6 16v Polo GTI engine would be able to fit straight into the bonnet of the same car, but 1.4 16v version? And if so, what would also be neccessary to replace with GTI parts under the bonnet?
