I can't wait any longer - new pics!

Post by Krupa »

I'd planned to wait for BVF before unveilling my new paint job, but, having spent all afternoon polishing it up I can't not post these!

Looks much better in real life I add. When I bought the car I had a list of things in mind that needed doing cosmetically. I had a clear image of what it would look like and FINALLY after 4 years I've reached that point.

There are some extra bits and pieces which these photos don't show off, but you'll have to wait till the show season to see those!

What do you reckon? And can you spot that custom bodywork?

Opinions please!

Looking good, damn good!

Infact no, it looks pants. I hate you for your grey, sunroofed polo.

All I can see is a colour matched spoiler?? I think....

Oh and 19 tax disk holders!!!

Are the handles, or handle inserts painted too?? Looks like it, but it might be the light..

Doug's got it in one, the wing mounted aerial hole's gone. Bloody thing, previous owner had taken an aerial off badly, then I took my old one off badly and it was bent, scratched and going rusty, so I got rid. Looks much better.

Yeah I have too many tax disc holders. Bottom one's road tax, next one up is Uni parking permit, top one is an E1K logo. I've got used to them being there now!

Alex, was it just an exterior spray job? did you get the inside of the sills done or anything else?

Just an exterior paint job, it's all my car really needed.

They took all the dings and dents out of the swage lines when they did it though, which is no bad thing.

It cost me £750 to get the back end repaired, the wing smoothed and the whole lot sprayed. Not bad! 8)
