Hi guys,
Could someone please assist me with some part numbers for the South African market?
I need part numbers for:
The Gti STeering wheel
Headlights with the little LED's
Polo GTI rear bumper
Polo GTI boot spoiler
Polo centre armrest
Also could you advise if all of these will be compatible with my 1.6 TDI?
Thanks in advance

Sell your car and buy VAG?
Unconstructive posts aside, the best way to do it is to get the registration number of a GTi and then go to the parts department and pretend its yours. Either that or go in at a quiet time and find a friendly parts man who'll look it up for you. Worth having a google as well to see if anyone has posted them up on other forums - the part numbers will be the same for all the body parts regardless of location, not sure about the xenons because of LHD/RHD issues (?).
It'll all be compatible regardless - the body shell is identical, just different bits bolted on.

Part numbers
GTI Steering wheel
"5K0 419 091 AE" Standard wheel
"5K0 419 685 C" Silver trim
GTI Rear Spoiler
I looked and looked, and VW don't seem to believe the GTI has a rear spoiler
GTI Rear Bumper
Dependant on whether you have rear parking sensors and/or tow bar fitted
Headlights Xenons
Part number is dependant on build date and LHD/RHD
Polo centre armrest
Lots of separate parts to buy, but it is also dependant on the colour and material of the arm rest
As blazeguarder said, best find a helpful parts man as this is not a simple matter

My rear bumper will not have parking sensors or a towbar.
Will be a RHD
To the other guys, thanks for your very constructive posts, however, had the GTI come in diesel, I would have bought it. So NO, I will stick to my TDI for now.
Re: Part Numbers
Hi,
I just got my Polo GTI and I live in ZA.
Xenons are not an option here and i would NOT recommend retrofitting them due to the nature of the job, I have read on this forum that is not an easy job. I believe it has something to do with sensors on the rear shocks for self-levelling and a fewer other bits and pieces.
