Could it possibly b a switch or something that's gone? Any help would b awesome!

The switch is a bugger to get at,you have to go to it from underneath if my memory serves me well, between the engine and radiator..

Hi

I'm new here but just a thought...

My 9n3 doesn't have two reversing lights.

Looking at the rear of the car It has what looks like two reversing light lenses, underneath the Brake lights, but one is a reversing light (on the left) and the other on the right hand side is a rear high intensity (fog) light.

Might not be like that on your model .. but it fooled me at first, when I got mine.

Wiring tends to break next to the plug for the switch. (Pretty common VW thing -I've fixed it on the 9n, and 2 B4 passats) The main dealers sell "repair plugs" with a length of wire attached. Solder that on, and off you go.
