New lights?

Hey everyone...

Thinking about buying these lights. Can anyone tell me if they look like they're close to the real gti lights? Do they look close to the real thing to you pro's? Or do you think these will be cheap and nasty!

Also what's a motor :S Is that for controlling that thing at the side of the steering wheel to rise and lower the lights?

I can't decide between these and the dayline ones! What do you folks think?

From what I have seen of non oe lights they fit correct but don't have the VW sign in the main headlight on the metal part.
If you look into the headlight on oe ones you'll see what I mean

Do the gti's have that black plastic behind the front plastic bit? I've never gotten to see any up close!

The GTi headlights have a clear plastic cover, it's the inside bit that's black. The bit that's chrome on the other models. Looks like those ones, but as said the ones in the photo don't have the VW logo in the dipped lens.

I'd personally be concerned about the quality of the reflector in pattern headlights. I know those ones are E marked and so aren't going to be like bolting candles to the bumper but from seeing different cars with the same bulbs fitted the quality of the reflectors is important. Just my thoughts...

Aaaah. I thought they'd be the same just without the VW logo. So the quality of the lights are poo

Are they expensive directly from VW do you know ?
